Incentivized traffic
Incentivized traffic comes from users rewarded for clicking, installing or signing up. Cheap and fast, but often low quality and banned by many offers.
Incentivized traffic (incent) comes from users who receive a reward for taking an action: points, coins in a game, cashback or a gift card for installing an app or registering on a site.
Why it matters
Incentivized users act for the reward, not because they want the product. They convert quickly but rarely come back, deposit or buy. The LTV is low, and advertisers often reject or claw back those conversions, which become chargebacks for the affiliate.
Allowed or not
Each offer states its traffic rules. Some offers are built for incent (reward apps, offer walls) and pay less; most CPA and iGaming offers forbid it. Sending incent to an offer that bans it is one of the most common reasons for an affiliate to be suspended.
Signs of incent traffic
- A very high conversion rate on registrations, but almost no deposits or sales.
- Many conversions seconds after the click.
- Users who never return after the first action.
In RastroAff
Fraud checks flag conversions that come too fast after the click and repeated conversions from the same device or IP. For iGaming, player value reports show which affiliates bring players who deposit and stay. See fraud protection.
