Landing page
A landing page is the page a visitor reaches after clicking an affiliate link. Offers often have several, and the choice affects the conversion rate.
A landing page (or lander) is the first page a visitor sees after clicking an affiliate link. For an offer it is usually the advertiser's sign-up, product or download page.
Landing pages and pre-landers
Some affiliates add their own page before the advertiser's: a pre-lander with a review, a quiz or a comparison. It warms the visitor up and can raise the conversion rate, as long as the advertiser allows it.
Why offers have several
Advertisers often test several pages: a short form against a long one, a bonus page, pages in different languages. Letting affiliates choose, or test them, means more conversions from the same traffic.
Landing page vs deep link
A landing page is a page the network has set up for the offer. A deep link sends the visitor to any page of the advertiser's site, such as a single product, as long as the domain is allowed.
