NGR (net gaming revenue)

NGR is what an iGaming operator keeps from a player after winnings, bonuses and fees: the usual basis for affiliate revenue share.

NGR (net gaming revenue) is the revenue an iGaming operator keeps from a player after deducting what the player won, the bonuses given and certain costs such as payment fees and taxes. The exact formula is defined in each operator's affiliate terms.

NGR vs GGR

  • GGR (gross gaming revenue): bets minus winnings.
  • NGR: GGR minus bonuses, and usually fees and taxes.

Revenue share deals are almost always calculated on NGR, so a player who receives large bonuses generates less for the affiliate.

Negative NGR

If a player wins more than they lose in a month, the NGR is negative. Whether that negative amount affects the affiliate's following months depends on the deal (negative carryover).
