FTD (first-time deposit)

An FTD is a player's first deposit at an iGaming operator, and the event most CPA deals in casino and betting pay for.

An FTD (first-time deposit) is the first time a newly registered player deposits money at a casino or sportsbook. It's the main conversion in iGaming affiliate marketing: most CPA deals pay for FTDs, not for registrations.

Qualified FTDs and baselines

Many operators only pay the CPA when the player reaches a minimum amount, the baseline: for example €50 in total deposits, or a minimum amount wagered. This protects the operator from players who deposit the minimum and never return.

Beyond the first deposit

The FTD says nothing about the player's value afterwards. That's why iGaming networks also look at repeat deposits and NGR to judge the quality of each affiliate's traffic.

In Rastro

Report the FTD as a goal in the postback, or import it from the brands' CRM reports, where CPA deals can require minimum deposits. See Player value and revshare.
