Affiliate network
An affiliate network connects advertisers who want sales or leads with affiliates who send traffic, and handles tracking, commissions and payouts.
An affiliate network sits between advertisers (brands, operators, apps) who pay for results and affiliates (publishers, media buyers, influencers) who send them traffic. The network signs the advertisers, recruits and approves the affiliates, and runs the tracking that decides who earned what.
How a network makes money
The network charges the advertiser one amount per result and pays the affiliate a smaller one. If an advertiser pays 50 € per CPA conversion and the affiliate receives 40 €, the network keeps 10 € on every conversion. With revshare deals the network keeps part of the percentage.
What a network does every day
- Publishes offers with caps, payouts and targeting.
- Approves affiliates and gives them tracking links.
- Receives conversions from advertisers by postback and checks them for fraud.
- Pays affiliates and invoices advertisers at the end of each period.
